By booking or using our services in Bury, Greater Manchester and surrounding areas, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

“Customer”, “you”, “your” refers to the person or business booking skip hire services.

“Service” refers to skip hire, waste collection, delivery, collection, or related offerings provided by SimpleSkipHire.co.uk.

“Delivery area” refers to Bury, Greater Manchester and surrounding towns, including but not limited to Bury and neighbouring districts.

2. Booking and Payment

All bookings must be made through our website, over the phone, or through approved agents. Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings if:

• payment has not been made,
• the delivery location is unsafe or unsuitable,
• we have reason to believe the skip will be misused.

3. Delivery and Collection

We aim to provide prompt delivery and collection across Bury, Greater Manchester, but times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.

You must ensure that:

• there is safe and adequate access for our vehicles,
• the skip placement area is level, secure, and free from obstruction,
• you have authority to place the skip on private property or have obtained relevant permits for public roads.

4. Skip Permits

If a skip must be placed on a public road, pavement, or council-controlled land, a permit may be required. We can assist with arranging permits, but responsibility for compliance rests with the customer.

Failure to obtain the correct permit may result in fines. These fines are the customer’s responsibility.

5. Prohibited Waste

The following items must not be placed in any skip:

• asbestos
• gas cylinders or bottles
• solvents, paints, or chemicals
• clinical or medical waste
• food waste
• batteries or electrical appliances (WEEE)
• hazardous or toxic substances

If prohibited waste is found, you may be charged additional disposal fees.

6. Maximum Fill Levels

Skips must not be filled higher than the top of the skip (“level load”). Overfilled skips may be refused for collection, and additional charges may apply.

7. Responsibility for the Skip

Once delivered, the skip becomes your responsibility until collected. You are responsible for:

• keeping the skip secure,
• preventing unauthorised use,
• protecting the skip from fire or damage.

Damage caused to the skip may result in repair or replacement costs.

8. Liability

We are not liable for damage to driveways, pavements, walls, or property caused by skip placement, unless due to our negligence. Delivery vehicles may cause minor surface marks; booking our service indicates acceptance of this risk.

9. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before delivery may be refunded at our discretion. Cancellations on the day of delivery may incur charges.

If we arrive and cannot deliver due to access issues or incorrect information, a wasted journey fee may apply.

10. Use of Service in Bury and Surrounding Areas

Our skip hire service is designed for households, construction sites, landlords, and businesses across Bury, Greater Manchester. Local regulations, access restrictions, and waste processing rules may vary by district.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
